APPLICATION GUIDELINES - HOW TO APPLY
To determine if your organization may be eligible for a grant from us, please review the General Information sheet or the Areas of Interest section of our website. An application to one Foundation will be treated as an application to all. Please do not send us video tapes, CDs, books, samples, etc. unless requested. If sent to us unsolicited these materials will not be returned.

Concept Letter
Before writing a full proposal, please send a concept letter which briefly tells us about your organization, outlines your project and states the amount that you are requesting. If you already have a prepared proposal that you are sending to other foundations, you may send that along with the concept letter.
After we have reviewed your concept letter/basic proposal and if we believe there is a possible fit with our interests, we will request a full proposal that should include the following items:
1. A completed Grant Application Cover Sheet, which we will provide.
2. A brief proposal describing the work to be accomplished and why, the work-plan and strategies to achieve these goals, projected outcomes and some criteria against which the project can be evaluated.
3. Budgets for both the project and the organization.
4. A copy of the organization's current IRS determination letter indicating 501(c)(3) charitable status. If another organization is acting as your fiscal sponsor, we need a copy of their 501(c)(3) letter and a letter from them stating they are willing to assume legal and fiscal responsibility for the grant. We will not make a grant unless either you or your fiscal sponsor are a legally recognized United States public charity.
5. The names and employers of your Board of Directors.

No Deadlines
Proposals are reviewed as they are received. We do not have deadlines. We attempt to make a decision within three months after receipt of a proposal. If your project is time sensitive, make that clear in your cover letter. Please understand that we cannot respond in a personalized way to every proposal. However, please do feel free to contact us with questions or concerns.
