Biodiversity and Sustainable Development
Biodiversity and sustainable development are core interests
of the Jenifer Altman Foundation. In past years we have made major
commitments to broad work on sustainable development, particularly
through grants related to the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in
1992. After the Earth Summit, we chose increasingly to focus on
one aspect of biodiversity and sustainability environmental
health, and particularly the effect of toxic chemicals on human
and ecological health. The following grants reflect our continuing
broader interest in biodiversity and sustainable development.
