"In the Service of Life Awards"

From time to time the Jenifer Altman Foundation will present "In the Service of Life Awards" to people who have made insufficiently recognized contributions to human health and/or ecological health. These are the first "In the Service of Life Awards" the Foundation has presented.

LAWRENCE LESHAN

Larry LeShan pioneered the concept that cancer patients could mobilize their own healing resources in his pioneering book You Can Fight for Your Life and has devoted his life to developing that message in books such as his classic Cancer as a Turning Point.
