Modeling chemical exposure could help rank toxicity risk.

A mathematical model that draws on data from human monitoring studies may help rank levels of human exposure to thousands of household and industrial chemicals circulating in the environment. The approach could greatly facilitate efforts to unpack the compounds’ toxicities.

According to the fourth five-year report of the on the Baird & McGuire Superfund site from the federal Environmental Protection Agency, high concentrations of arsenic were detected in groundwater samples taken from an area between the former chemical company’s buildings and the Cochato River.
